MILKO PAVLOV

Milko Pavlov was born in Aytos (Bulgaria) in 1956 and currently works between Sofia and Berlin. Frottage techniques, created by rubbing pre-existing surfaces, add texture to his naturalistic abstract paintings. It suggests the presence of landscapes or organic forms, but does not confirm it.
Milko Pavlov is a Bulgarian abstract painter based in Berlin. His most recent solo exhibitions include: Labyrinth (Office Reiner Opoku, Berlin, Germany, 2023), Unsettled Paintings Frozen like Mountains (Villa Magdalena, Donostia-San Sebastián, Spain, 2022), FACIES (St. Matthäus Stiftung, Berlin, Germany , 2020), Sophia Nova 2118-2084 (ONE Gallery, Sofia, Bulgaria, 2018), Brother in Arms (Yuzina Gallery, Sofia, Bulgaria, 2012), Tomorrow belongs to me (The OMC Gallery, Huntington Beach, USA. , 2012), 2076:120 Years of Milko Pavlov (Sofia National Art Gallery, Bulgaria, 2008), Tomorrow belongs to you - Milko Pavlov 2004-2066 (City Art Gallery, Bremen, Germany, 2007).
